ORDINANCE appropriating $591,700.00 out of General Improvements Consolidated Construction Fund and approving and authorizing Professional Architectural Services Contract between the City of Houston and JOHN KIRKSEY ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS, INC for Design of New Kingwood Library, WBS E-000097-0002-3; providing funding for the Civic Art Program.

ORDINANCE appropriating $793,316.00 out of Parks Consolidated Construction Fund; awarding construction contract to CARRERA CONSTRUCTION, INC for Carverdale and Schwartz Park Improvements, WBS F-0504C2-0001-4/F-0504C2-0002-4, setting a deadline for the bidder’s execution of the contract and delivery of all bonds, insurance and other required contract documents to the City; holding the bidder in default if it fails to meet the deadlines; providing funding for engineering and testing services, construction management, Civic Art Program, and contingencies relating to construction of facilities financed by the Parks Consolidated Construction Fund.
